The most common style used when flat wire is desired is the single insulated SPT-2 and the double insulated NISPT-2. Description:

SPT-1, SPT-2, SPT-3

  • Conductor: Stranded bare copper
  • Insulation: Color Coded PVC
  • SPT-1.2: For TVs, radios and small light duty appliances
  • SPT-3: For heavy-duty appliances, especially for refrigerators and air conditioners

NISPT-1, NISPT-2

  • Conductor: Stranded bare copper
  • Insulation: PVC
  • Jacket: Color coded PVC
  • For TVs, radios and small light duty appliances

Characteristics: 

  • Rated Temperature: 60°C or 105°C
  • Insulation: PVC
  • Passes UL VW-1 & CSA FT2 flame test
  • Voltage Ratings:
    • SPT-1, SPT-2 & NISPT-1, NISPT-2: 300 Volt
    • SPT-3: 600 Volt
